As President & CEO, Mr. McCormick directs Asia executive search offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Tianjin, Ningbo, Hong Kong and the South East markets of Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh. In addition, Foster Partners (Asia) has specialized regional practices in Industrial, Technology, Life Sciences and Financial Services.

Foster Partners LLP was established in 1989 as the successor to KPMG Peat Marwick’s US Executive Search practice. KPMG Peat Marwick LLP began offering executive search services in 1962 and developed over the course of 27 years to be the largest of the public accounting executive search practices. Successively, in order to further develop and manage its business in Asia, Foster Partners (Asia) was formed in 1999.

Prior to establishing Foster Partners (Asia), Mr. McCormick was Director in Charge of KPMG Hong Kong’s Executive Recruitment practice. Mr. McCormick’s personal areas of functional expertise include Asia President, Managing Director and General Management in addition to regional (Asia) Sales and Marketing, Finance/Financial Control, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, HR and Supply Chain senior leadership positions. His primary client focus has been in serving multi-national clients.

Mr. McCormick has executive search experience in all major Asia centers, but specifically in China where he was a pioneer in the executive search industry in the early 1990’s. He has published numerous articles related to the recruitment and retention of managers in China and is a regular guest speaker and panelist at prominent events both in Asia and North America.

Prior to joining KPMG Hong Kong, Mr. McCormick had a sixteen year career with Halifax PLC in the UK where he progressed through a succession of management level positions in human resources, branch management and compliance. Mr. McCormick was educated at Falkirk and Glasgow Universities.
