| Deborah Coogan Seltzer is a Vice President in the Atlanta Office of Pearson Partners International. Deb was previously a Managing Director with Boyden global executive search, a Vice President with A.T. Kearney Executive Search and a Partner with Ray & Berndtson. Throughout her search career she has worked extensively in the pharmaceutical/biotech and medical device sectors of the healthcare/life sciences industry, serving clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 organizations. She has also worked with several hospitals as well, with an emphasis on the recruitment of Chief Medical Officers.
During her 19 years in search, Deb has built a strong knowledge base in terms of both the ever-evolving healthcare/life sciences industry and the effective execution of search in that highly competitive marketplace. This foundation has enabled her to recruit top-level executives across a broad array of functional areas including executive/general management, sales, marketing, human resources, business development and finance. Importantly, she has also successfully completed assignments for more technically oriented executives in such areas as R&D, clinical and pre-clinical development, technical operations/manufacturing, scientific affairs/regulatory and quality assurance. Prior to entering the search profession, Deb was Manager of Membership Admissions for the American Stock Exchange in NYC. Deb graduated with high honors from Douglass College/Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish. She subsequently received an honors Master of Science degree in Economics (European studies) from Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland as a Rotary Foundation Scholar. Deb serves as Secretary and Executive Committee Member of the Global Board of the Healthcare BusinesswomenÕs Association (www.hbanet.org) and is also a Director on the Atlanta ChapterÕs Board. |
