A Message from Keith Pearson, President & CEO

December caps a milestone year for Pearson Partners, as we open our newest office in Houston this month to better serve our clients in the energy, oil and gas industries. Chris Reinsvold has joined our team in Houston as vice president, bringing significant knowledge gained from more than 25 years of management and search experience in the energy sector, primarily in upstream oil and gas and the oilfield equipment and services sectors. Learn more about Chris in our press release in this newsletter.

Our expansion in Houston is just one of the things we’re excited about as we enter the new year. As part of our succession plan, Bob Pearson has handed the chief executive officer reins to me, and will continue to serve as our chairman of the board. I am excited to take the firm into our next phase of growth.

Our senior vice president, Renee Arrington, recently spoke in Washington D.C. at the IDG IT Roadmap Conference, the third in her series on Personal Branding for CIOs and senior IT executives. Watch for her upcoming presentations at IT Roadmap Chicago in March and IT Roadmap Denver in June.

As we discussed at our recent fourth-quarter Spotlight Series breakfast, the economy appears to be continuing its slow march to recovery. Greg Young, senior portfolio manager with Bernstein Global Wealth Management, led our annual forward-looking economic discussion about the growth state of the global economy and how current trends in stocks and bonds might affect our investments in 2014. Don’t miss the summary of our discussion in this issue—your investment portfolio will thank you.

Pearson Partners wishes you and yours a joyous holiday and new year.

Pearson in the Community:
March of Dimes

Pearson Partners believes in giving back to the community. Our principal, Robyne Petersen, is passionate about the mission of the March of Dimes. The birth of a child is one of life’s highlights, but for families whose babies are born too early, this milestone that should be joyful is instead a time of fear and worry. The March of Dimes aims to improve the health of premature babies and support their families, providing for research and programs to save babies born prematurely or with birth defects.
