Mike is a partner with the Calgary office of our Canada partner, Davies Park, and works on a variety of assignments in multiple industries. He has more than 15 years of experience in the private sector as a senior manager.
Mike has worked in the oil and gas, manufacturing, and human resource disciplines, and has broad search experience in academic, financial, managerial, energy and high-tech areas.
He is involved with the business community from a volunteer perspective as an active volunteer consultant working with non-profit organizations.
Prior to search, Mike gained expertise in the areas of human resource management, training and development and strategic planning. |

Allan C. Nelson

Allan manages the Calgary office and is a partner with our Canada partner, Davies Park. Since opening the Calgary office, Allan has specialized in senior executive recruitment and has been active in recruiting senior-level positions in both the association and not-for-profit sectors.
Prior to joining the firm, he spent more than 11 years as a senior manager in private industry and has dealt firsthand with all areas of human resource management. Allan spent four years moderating the predecessor program to the CMA Strategic Leadership Program in Alberta.
He has volunteered with the Society of Management Accountants for the past nine years on the chapter, provincial and national level.
Allan holds a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Alberta, is a Certified Management Accountant, and is currently being honored with the FCMA designation. |

Ian Donald
Ian Donald is a partner with Hermitage Consulting. He is a former Group HR Director of ABB and was a member of the Group's Global HR Council, advising on the design and implementation of international initiatives. Mr. Donald also served as the first Group HR Director of the FTSE 100 metals and mining group Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC plc), with responsibility for establishing the group headquarters team in London, recruiting the chairman and members of the board, and providing organizational support through and beyond its IPO.
Ian has over 30 years of board-level experience in a range of sectors including banking; oil and gas; metals and mining; security; engineering and construction; and media; delivering organizational change, management and board assessment, and compensation and benefits design.

Nick Parry
Nick trained as an auditor before embarking on a career in executive search. His audit work focused on manufacturing and engineering companies, along with technology and material science companies. In executive search, Nick has worked across a broad range of industries and geographies, focused on the mining and metals sector and materials value chain. Nick is also involved in the agriculture, oil and gas, energy, clean-tech, and disruptive technologies industries.
In addition to running his firm Hermitage Consulting, Nick is also a special advisor to a technology fund (GDI) that invests in early-stage material science technologies.
